Workshops and Communal Gatherings
The Sacred Body provides an opportunity to engage organically, energetically, creatively and mythically through an exploratory physical practice of Hatha and Yin Yoga, integrated and somatic movement, improvisational dance, and subtle body experiencing. My classes are laced with Ayurvedic physiology, and infused with the power and the wisdom of the dancing body.
How do we intuitively engage with the energies and patterns that already exist within the body, embedded inside of the tissues and etched within the nervous system?
How do we learn to begin to honor our ancestors, while at the same time releasing some of our own cellular and ancestral psychic holding patterns, setting these energies free to move once again inside of our bodies, and within our own lives?
How do we somatically experience the quality of divine mystery and love within our own physical form?
How do we charge the body with the sacred, rather than the profane?
I invite you into this ongoing journey of experiential learning that brings together body, mind, and spirit, where we open to the opportunity for healing, the descent of grace, and begin to truly plant the seeds for embodied transformation.
Each workshop spirals around a topic of visionary and embodied exploration.
come join me in my sacred search!
Currently all gatherings are paused until further notice.

Developmental Movement - Ancient Patterns of Connectivity
When we are born into this world, each of us undergo an incredible process of bodily learning, as we gain the strength and connectivity to become
upright and walking beings. In this workshop, we will explore these fundamental patterns of connectivity. Drawing from the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Peggy Hackney, and other innovators in developmental movement and somatic understanding, we will move through some of these ancient patterns,
learning to activate them once again. This profound work paves the way for a more complete understanding and embodiment of movement of all kinds, including Yoga, dance, athletics, martial arts, as well as daily tasks and rituals.
The Five Elements in Yogic Practice
Yoga and Ayurveda are elemental practices. They engage the Five Elements, or Pancha Mahabhutas ~ of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. In the Yogic cosmology, we understand that the world is made of these Pancha Mahabhutas, which bring spirit into matter from the most rarified form of Ether, down to the densest form of Earth. In this workshop, we spiral around the embodied experience of these Five Elements in movement and practice. We will touch upon how they relate to the energetic system of the body, and correspond to the layers of tissue as well.
Dance Improvisation and the Five Elements
Using the Five Elements of the Yogic cosmology (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether), this workshop will be an introduction to the exploration of how these forces live and operate in the body as we dance. We will take time to explore each element individually, with its qualities, meanings and manifestations in the body, and begin to experience how we can alchemize these forces internally through dance. Eventually we will explore how we use these forces to interact with others as well. Sail, transform, flow, solidify, and expand...
Somatic Alchemy and Visionary States
Through a combination of somatic practices, shamanic journeywork, and visioning, this workshop explores the relationship between body, inner sight and creation. How do we bring consciousness into body fully, and move more and more from this place? How do we engage the liminal and powerful space between waking and dream worlds? How do we allow the wisdom of the body to guide us into inner portals that reveal hidden meanings and symbols, and bring forth the richest strata of our being?
Body, Land, and Ritual
Tapping deeply into the wisdom of the body, we will enter into the land. Listening to the language of the natural world, we will allow its plants and animals to be our guides and teachers. Using sacred object or huaca as ally, we will engage in the practice of personal movement or dance ritual as a creative act that reflects our deeper hearts longing, set in alignment with our greater path as an artist, and human being. (This workshop continues explorations set forth in Somatic Alchemy and Visionary States, though it is not necessary to have taken both.)
