“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.”
~ Shunryu Suzuki
Too many people today seek finality rather than reveling in the reality that life consists of an ongoing series of questions which should remain largely open - ended.
I have been shocked by how many - particularly in these last two years - speak about holistic medicine and the wonders of nature, speak about the journey and not the destination, and think of themselves as spiritual activists and way-showers - but have not possessed the capability to understand that their point of view is not the only position, or the only truth. This is a fundamental spiritual crisis which has been revealed for all who have eyes to see.
In this case, the mind has been completely shut down to any new information or insight. For example - the hypnotic mantra - “ trust the science” - has proven itself to be riddled with so many lies and falsehoods that they are impossible to list. Trust the science is really just another name for trust the propaganda, close your eyes - and do not access the open field of the beginner’s mind to dare question any part of what we are putting forth as the only reality.
This is, at its very root, a personal spiritual crisis for all of us.
Too many have fallen into this category.
Too many have turned a blind eye on beauty and truth.
Too many have have forgotten their center, if they ever knew it to begin with.
Teachers and friends, and whole populations turning their back on a segment of the population, pretending that apartheid is justifiable.
It is never justifiable.
It will never be justifiable.
And I will never not speak this painful truth - and shine it like a light for all those who remain in the darkness of this horrific ignorance, and continue to believe that they are the experts in all things.
Let us open our minds ~ and see what is there to behold ⭐️
