The Return of the King / by Maré Hieronimus

I am a woman who has lived her life in service to the mystery of the divine feminine. I have shaped my life around seeking to commune with my own sacred womanhood, to honor the passages of my life as maiden and mother and as crone, to sing the praises of Her, as well as to balance this sacred polarity in the development and understanding of the divine masculine wihin.

As we understand it, the great goddess was cast out thousands of years ago.

Her memory was buried, Her wisdom was defiled, Her beauty was rebuked. But, one cannot simply slaughter Her presence, for she is an eternal truth, a reality beyond time and space that echoes through the canyons of the cosmos, regardless of whether or not we have the fortitude to listen.

And, so it is with the Divine Masculine.

Through this great imbalance of sacred polarity, the fabric of our world is being torn apart. For when we speak of The Divine, it is not just She who exists within this luminous and magical sphere; it is also He.

He is the guardian of her sacred flame, the witness to her experience, the container to her oceanic depth, the seer to her seen, and the right hand to her left. He is the sun to her moon, the light to her darkness, the strength to her compassion, and the will to her love.

Without His sacred presence, She is rudderless in a sea of wild expanse, without boundary, without protection, and without direction.

For the sacred marriage between He and She truly happens in the heart of every human soul. Within each of us, the experience of this union is the awakening process, itself.

And yet, there are many who would slaughter Him, for as she has been lost, buried and forgotten, He has gone mad.

And how could he not?

There are many who would call his very existence an abomination.

There are many who would curse his very name.

This is a misunderstanding born of incomprehensible suffering in a culture that denies the remembrance of this divine union.

The truth is, each of these great halves play a critical role in the center of every human soul. Without this wisdom understanding, we are destined to swing back and forth endlessly, through division, hatred, and adolescence, until the ends of time.

Today, I honor HIm in every human, and most especially in all men.

I celebrate the Return of the King, in all of his divine majesty, and holy presence.

Happy Father’s Day
