Of all the forms in nature that reflect the profound luminosity and mystery of spirit, the spiral is the most profound. We see this sacred geometry reflected through the spiraling strands of our DNA, the unfurling growth of all flora and fauna, to the majestic swirl of galaxies sweeping through space. This sacred form is all around and through us - from the micro to the macro, and everywhere in between.
This is because the spiral reflects the three dimensional expression of the six sacred directions - and along with this - the potentiality of the full spectrum phenomena of the embodiment of spirit.
The six sacred directions are a map of the meeting of the three planes - vertical - horizontal - and sagittal.
Each corresponds to psycho-spiritual states of consciousness, reality, and being.
Each of us are uniquely engaged within a divine dance that swings between the great pairs of opposites in sacred geometric patterning. This dance may be conscious, or unconscious, but the great dance is occurring, nonetheless.
Integration of the spycho- spiritual aspects of the vertical plane reflect the experience of the balance between heaven and earth, above and below, the celestial and the underworld, and the embodiment of the holy present. The spine creates the plumb line through which we have the potential to experience this divine moment in the here and now through the Self.
If the vertical experience brings us into the personal presence of the here and now, the sagittal plane corresponds to our relationship with time in the world. The dance in the sagittal or wheel plane is the dance between history and destiny, before and after, ancestry and progeny, past and future. This experience brings us into the passage of time.
The expression of the third great plane - the horizontal - brings us into the experience of the horizon line itself, and the expression of space. Through the horizon line we come into the experience of left and right, here and there, near and far, and internal and external.
Each of the dances between these six
sacred directions - heaven and earth - past and future - near and far - reflect our personal relationship to these aspects of our psycho-spiritual reality. The struggles that we face physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually correspond to our particular and unique soul journey, and the level of our ability to integrate and harmonize ancestral trauma, soul life, history, and destiny that we are engaged within.
In coming into the experience of the spiral in body, we are coming into the full spectrum reality of all aspects of this sacred geometry resonating in harmony and rhythm with itself. In consciously engaging this sacred and ecstatic dance, one is coming alive in all aspects of one’s being, allowing all that was to be, all that is to flourish, all that will be to fully become. This is the dance of life in all of it’s mystery, reverie, and joy.
