The Erasure of Artemis / by Maré Hieronimus

I find it fascinating that the relatively recent and powerful work of Robert Bly on the sacred masculine ( Iron John ) Clarissa Pinkola Estes on the sacred feminine ( Women who Run with the Wolves ), and even John Gray ( Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus ) would now be considered controversial by the new left.

It is unacceptable to say that there are intrinsic energetic differences between men and women, and that our sacred biology plays an important role in our life experiences on the physical, mental, emotional, archetypal, energetic, and spiritual levels.

From this perspective, gender is a mythology, a social construct that has nothing to do with the sacred and natural form and function of the human body, and we as a culture should abolish all definitions as such.

From the great work of Bly and Pinkola Estes to a total denial of these biological and energetic archetypal realities….

The greater question is why?
